I came across this challenge by accident. I was searching for Elvis fabric to make a quilt for my mother-in-law, who is an Elvis fan. I thought it would be fun to try this out and see if I could do this. When the fabric arrived and I saw the panel with the dancing Elvis, I immediately thought of the song "Jailhouse Rock". I drew out a cell door and use the dancing Elvis on the side. (I know you said it was really awful fabric, so I took that as another challenge to use it on the front). To make sure you would realize it was a cell door, I made a stuffed key and attached it to the quilt. |
